Last week saw the completion of 2 Showpiece Chocolate taught by the very talented Chris Zammit. The Beginners course held between 9-10 May focused on the theme of a ‘Spring Garden’. Students were taught basics of working with and moulding chocolate. They learnt how to structure a balanced showpiece and how to use available objects to create shapes that could come together in cohesive harmony. The Advanced course took the ever popular ‘Game of Thrones’ Series as a basic premise to create an intriguingly terrifying and striking 1 meter plus showpiece. Students also learnt to create different types of moulds from silicone or alginate. All students worked hard and with great passion to achieve excellent results and take in a wide range of new skills they will be able to transfer into their daily work.
